Tomorrow's Ghosts Festival Film Screening Jonathan Rigby's Euro Gothic
Euro Gothic: Jonathan Rigby, author of the acclaimed English Gothic and American Gothic, launches the long awaited Euro Gothic: Classics of Continental Horror Cinema with a talk featuring stills and clips.
Jonathan is also official Biographer to Sir Christopher Lee and Series Consultant on Mark Gatiss's A History of Horror.
From the Expressionist reveries of the Weimar Republic to the transgressive nightmares smuggled past the Franco regime, via surrealist Gallic fever-dreams and psychedelic shockers from Cinecittà, Euro Gothic analyses more than 100 key films plus scores of others ranging from the early years of the 20th century to the video revolution of the 1980s.
Jonathan Rigby will be signing copies of Euro Gothic, and we hope to welcome a special guest to the event.
Starts 19:30 28th October at the Pavilion Theatre
